We are currently fully supporting an Orphanage and Children's centre in a rural part of Mombasa in Kenya.
The centre houses 55 Children, mainly orphans and abandoned children aged Four to Sixteen.
All of these children have different circumstances and come from different backgrounds, regardless of age, gender, Religion or creed they are all entitled to be children and to grow up in a safe environment and not worry about where there next meal is coming from.
Basic essentials such as Food, Fresh drinking water, beds and hygiene products are provided for the children.
27 out of the 55 children are now going to School. Uniforms, school shoes, bags and books have been purchased by our trustees and have been distributed.
The younger ones will remain in the centre to be educated by trained staff in the core subjects such as English, Maths and triple science to try and give them a head start when they eventually start school.
Electricity, firewood for cooking and teachers wages are all paid for on a monthly basis as well as the food rations which include basics such as Rice, Flour, Bread, Oil, Beans, Lentils etc. Fresh drinking water is available for the children as and when needed.
We have a long way to go, our end goal is to make the children self sufficient and to go out into the world and be the best they can be.
You can make a difference.
